Hit the the lake Thursday and had to give it another try. We fished from 2 to 5 and had 10 fish with 2 keepers. The fish was all mixed in size with several only as big as the bait we was throwing. The water temps was a little cooler with the rain we had and the lake was up a bit. We didnt catch all are fish in one spot but had to jump locations all over the lake to pick up bites. It seemed like you would catch just one off a point then it would be dead and then you would have to move to the next point. Soft baits on a caronlina is still the weapon of choice with fishing it slow as possible maybe even letting it rest for several seconds on the bottom. Maybe there is a better bait or method but from what i been hearing it is def slow. Think i will wait until the fish move up with the shad this fall.
coming down tonight hitting it reeeeeeel early in the am sat and sun 105 heat index will be tuff on this ol Phart. Thanks for the post
